Sometimes bigger isn’t always better and in terms of dessert, a little can go along way! The recent ‘mini dessert’ trend seen in restaurants has transitioned into the catering world and we are right on board. We have recently polished our dessert offerings included in our lunch and dinner buffets and will now be showcasing “Dessert Displays” in place of our individually plated assorted cakes and pies selection. Our new dessert displays provide a variety of bite size selections including dessert bars, cookies, brownies, martin glass desserts, cakes and pies.
Why all the hype for these bite size buffets?
- More Variety & Creativity:
With the portion sizes being smaller, guests are able to be offered a much larger variety of dessert selections. Instead of guests being limited to only choosing one piece of cake or a single slice of pie, they can try multiple bite size varieties. Our dessert displays are not set in stone assortments that are the same for every event. We wanted to promote creativity with our kitchen staff and allow all of our events to have something special. Our Chef has the freedom of inspiration on a daily basis to create fresh and delicious morsels. Our dessert display is an easy way for repeat events to have something different each time and continue to be wowed by talent in the kitchen!
- Cater to Your Guests:
As an event planner it is important to keep your guests wants and needs in mind while designing events. Pretty linen colors and tables arrangements are nice touches, but the quality of the food on their plates is what is going to speak the loudest. Impress your guests by catering to their needs and arranging food that will not only taste delicious but they can feel good about eating. Healthier lifestyles have transitioned guests to pay more attention to what they are eating, staying true to the “everything in moderation” approach. Although guests are monitoring the food they consume, this doesn’t mean they don’t want a little sweet treat now and then. Arranging bite size desserts welcomes your guests to treat themselves without having to feel guilty. Providing our guests with healthy choices is a major goal of The Club and we are excited to be able to find a nice balance between offering delicious desserts while still promoting portion control.
- Try Something New:
Sometimes it can be scary to try something new. By offering creative bite size desserts guests can be adventurous with their choices without worrying about the risk of being stuck with something they do not like. If it’s not their favorite, they can try something different! Guests will appreciate this opportunity to break out of their comfort zone and try new flavors.

News Within The Club: Our Buckeye Approved Lunch Menu has been such a success that we will now be expanding the selections to be offered during our Colleague Lunch Service! This Friday, March 7th, we will be proving Buckeye Approved samples in Colleagues between 11:30am-1:00pm. The Buckeye Approved menu items will be available during Colleagues lunch service beginning Monday, March 13th. Come and have a taste!
