The hospitality industry is continually evolving and an exciting career path to take. With the industry’s growth rate increasing, hiring youth workers is a high priority. A combination of training and experience are necessary for becoming successful in the industry. Working your way “from the bottom to the top” may be a common phrase heard in regards to career growth in hospitality. The interactive and hard working nature of the industry can be humbling for youth and at the same time rewarding as it helps to develop a strong work ethic that will help them immensely as careers are developed.
At The Club, we are proud to be able to hire Ohio State undergraduate students to work as wait-staff, banquet staff, bartenders and office associates. We feel passionately about the positive impact experience in this industry can have on someone and are very fortunate to be able to offer these positions to our students. Our student staff members have the opportunity to interact with their professors who are members of The Club on a more personal level, truly making our club a place where the campus community comes together. Many of our student staff stay on board and continue to call the Faculty Club place of work while pursing their careers in the hospitality industry. Being part of the “FC Family” is truly something special!
We want to congratulate 6 of our graduating seniors and alumni who will be taking the long walk across the Shoe this Sunday, May 4th and receiving their degrees from The Ohio State University. They have all been major contributors to our team and the overall success of The Club. We will miss them greatly and wish them the very best in their future endeavors. Come back and visit often!
