Breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day, yet for the majority of us, it is the easiest to skip just so we can get that extra 15 minutes of sleep. In the last few years, however, we are all being urged to resist hitting the snooze button and forcing ourselves to wake up and make sure we are getting that first meal. While breakfast for most is something simple like a bagel, cereal, or toast, no one can deny that even hearing the word “brunch” makes you instantly hungry.
One of the largest trends right now is brunch. Everyone wants to support local ma and pa restaurants knowing that their food is locally grown and the produce is ethically sourced. Not just that, but all brunch goers are looking for more than just the standard eggs, bacon and toast. Today the idea of what brunch consists of is dramatically different than what older generations grew up with. It is not rare to see freshly squeezed juices, elaborate sandwiches, or even carving stations listed on a brunch’s menu.
At The Faculty Club, we host our Sunday Brunch once a month where we invite our members to join us in our Main Dining Room and indulge in gourmet cuisine designed by our Executive Chef, Josh Harris. Each brunch is always different than the last, so you are never stuck with the same menu time and time again. It is not uncommon for there to be salmon, oysters and assorted carving stations as well. But for those of you who love the traditional brunch, don’t you worry; we are always sure to have the traditional staples: omelets, bacon, toast, and a build-your-own waffle station. And if you are celebrating or are just looking for a way to make your brunch a little more special, ask how to upgrade to the Champagne Brunch or request a private dining room!
While food is an important aspect of a great brunch, the one thing that truly makes a brunch is the people you share it with. Whether two people are starting out their day with us or we are honored to host a birthday celebration or bridal shower in one of our private rooms, The Club is able to accommodate all your brunch needs and are happy to do so!
We are excited to welcome all parents and students to join us at The Club on Sunday, October 26th from 10:00am-1:00pm. Come enjoy delicious foods while spending time with your student. This event is open to The Ohio State University community, so don’t be shy, stop on by!
