June through October, we average about 3-4 festivals and parades a month, which means most weekends you always have something to do.

The following weekend is Columbus’ very own Pride Festival. “This festival attracts more than 500,000 attendees making it one of the largest pride festivals in the Midwest.” This year it has moved from the Short North to the Scioto Mile, so that will be a nice change of scenery! https://columbuspride.org/

When it comes to celebrating our nation’s birthday, Columbus does it right. You can check the local listings for fireworks on the 1st and 2nd of July, but come July 3rd, you have to head downtown for the largest fireworks show in Ohio, Red, White, & Boom! With an accompanying soundtrack sure to please people of all ages, it’s always a night to remember. The next day on July 4th, if you’re feeling like something a little less serious, head down to the Short North for the Annual Doo Dah Parade. It’s a good time full of political satire sure to make you laugh. https://redwhiteandboom.org/ https://www.experiencecolumbus.com/event/doo-dah-parade/48180/
If you didn’t get enough Jazz at Creekside, be sure to clear your calendars July 21-22 for the Jazz and Rib Fest in Downtown Columbus. Hot ribs and cool jazz fill downtown during this festival on Columbus’ sparkling riverfront, complete with three stages of music! https://www.experiencecolumbus.com/event/jazz-%26-rib-fest/51478/
You may have noticed a theme with some of these so far, that they’re being moved to (or back to) the Scioto Mile. With the revitalization of the riverfront, it’s the perfect place to host these events!
The summer and fall continue with the State Fair, The Dublin Irish Festival, The Food Truck Festival, The Greek Festival, Oktoberfest, and Highball Halloween, among many others.
